- Check Zoning & Overlays First: Use your planning certificate & NSW Planning Portal Spatial Viewer.
- Match the Right Code: Ensure you are using the correct code for your project type—Housing, Rural, Industrial, etc.
- Meet Every Standard: Complying development is “all-or-nothing.”
- Engage a Certifier Early: Have a private certifier review your plans before lodging.
- Retain Evidence: Keep all surveys, BASIX, engineering, and environmental clearances for certification and recordkeeping.
